Course content
1. Territorial development of the Czech state in the Middle Ages (main moments) and the highest administrative bodies. 2. Estate monarchy, organs of sovereign and estate power. 3. The institute of the highest provincial officials in the pre-White Mountain period and their competences. 4. Czech court office. 5. Czech and court chamber. 6. Administrative consequences of the renewed provincial establishment. 7. Administrative reforms of Maria Theresa (except judicial). 8. Public administration 1780-1848. 9. Theresian and Josephine judicial reforms. 10. Municipal law and its unification in the Middle Ages and early modern times. 11. Supreme administration and its role in historical development. 12. Church administration in Bohemia and Moravia in historical development. 13. Development of regional administration until the end of the Habsburg monarchy. 14. The Czech state as part of the Habsburg monarchy. 15. Constitutional development in the Habsburg monarchy in the 19th century. 16. Bodies of legislative power of the Habsburg monarchy. 17. Bodies of executive power of the Habsburg monarchy 1848-1918. 18. Territorial and administrative development since the mid-19th century. 19. Municipal system in the Habsburg monarchy 1848-1918. 20. District self-government in Bohemia and Moravia until the establishment of Czechoslovakia. 21. Constitutional development in the 20th century (until 1993). 22.
