Course content
1. Formation of archives in our countries until the mid-19th century and the development of specialized care for written monuments. 2. Development of archives in our countries from the mid-19th century to 1918. 3. Development of archives, their organization and departmental affiliation in the Czechoslovakian Republic (until the establishment of the Czech Republic). 4. Development of archives, their organization and departmental affiliation in the Czech Republic after 1992. 5. Main types of archival material preserved from the activities of medieval offices in our territory. 6. Main types of archival material preserved from the activities of early modern and modern offices (from their internal and external scope). 7. Predominant types of archival material created in current offices of the Czech Republic (including new methods of recording information and relevant legislation). 8. Archival technology, protection of archival materials 9. Basic principles of organizing archival funds in historical development. 10. Basic principles of archival records in Czechoslovakia and the Czech Republic. 11. Basic rules for processing archival records from 2015, their connection to the rules valid until then and to international standards for processing archival records. 12. Current archival work abroad 13. Archival legislation in Czechoslovakia and the Czech Republic, development and main accents. 14. The role of international organizations in the protection of archival cultural heritage, international, foreign (European) and domestic archival journals. 15. Possibilities of specialized archival education in our conditions in a broader historical context up to the present.

Learning outcomes
This is the first round of the state final exam for the bachelor's degree program in Archival and Records Management. It consists of two questions, the first of which is directed towards records management and the second towards archival management.
