The aim of the compulsory elective course is to enrich students' knowledge in the field of the history of modern Czech science and university education. Students will be shown relevant sources, methodological approaches, questions and topics reflected in the history of science through selected personalities of modern Czech science. At the same time, they will become familiar with the basic literature on the given issue.
Students will gain a basic overview of the history of science. The topic will be presented as broadly as possible, including the history of scientific theories, scientific fields (disciplines) or individual scientific institutions (universities, ČAVU, KČSN, ČSAV, etc.) and their components; as well as the role of scientists in society, culture, politics, etc. |
