Course content
1. Principles of creating a case number and file number, general typology and hierarchy of diplomatic documents of the 2nd half of the 19th and 20th centuries. 2. Documents of state administration and local government offices in the years 1848-1938 3. Documents of the occupation administration in the seceded territories and the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia in the years 1938-1945. 4. Documents of national committees and state administration bodies in the years 1945-1989. 5. Specialized diplomatic documents of an accounting and financial nature, industry, agriculture and forestry.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to deepen basic information about diplomacs as a key auxiliary historical science. The course is divided into blocks that systematically focus on individual areas of research into diplomatic documents.
The student will acquire knowledge of the development of diplomacs in the second half of the 19th and 20th centuries; the creation of file marks and file plans; diplomatic documents of state administration offices, self-governing bodies and national committees; literature on diplomacs in the second half of the 19th and 20th centuries. They will learn to identify diplomatic documents; describe and analyze diplomatic documents.
Prerequisites
Orientation in the auxiliary sciences of history, Czech history, and the history of administration from 1848 to the present; ability to read Gothic script and Neo-Gothic cursive; mastery of the basics of Latin, ability to translate and understand German texts of a diplomatic nature.
