Learning outcomes
|
The course focuses on the development and use of information technologies in archiving. After an introduction to the topic, students will learn about the situation in the field of software development for the recording and electronic processing of archival materials before and after the publication of new basic rules and various ways of implementing them. They will also learn to define the differences between digital, analog, and digitized archives, including the different ways of processing, preserving, and accessing them (the phenomenon of digitization will be discussed separately). Finally, they will learn about various types of information presentation to the public through internet portals.
Students are familiar with the development and use of information technology in archiving. They are familiar with the software used for various stages of archival work. Students are able to define the differences between digital, analog, and digitized archival materials. They have mastered the basics of presenting archival materials in an electronic environment.
