The teaching of the course in the combined form summarises these topics in individual teaching blocks: 1. The period up to 1740 2. The period 1740-1848 3. Urban and patrimonial administration 4. Period 1848-1918 5. Period 1918-1945 6. Period after 1945 Within self-study, students deal with topics included in the required literature, tasks assigned in the attendance part of the course or in the Moodle learning system, as well as on the basis of individual consultations with the teacher realized also through the communication forum in Moodle or other electronic form.

Learning outcomes
|
The History of Administration introduces the students to the organisation of public administration in the territory of the Czech state in the time span from the Middle Ages to the present, with emphasis on political administration. The interpretation of the institutions of public administration is combined with information on the preservation and archival storage of their written production as an important moment not only for the understanding of their organisation and actual functioning, but also for the methodical historical study in general. The lecture material is divided into lessons, mainly focused on political administration in chronological order.
The student will understand the basic features of the constitutional and legal basis of administrative history, will be able to characterize the administrative institutions of the given period, perceive the changes of public administration in the context of the general socio-political development and significant milestones in the history of the Czech state. The student is oriented in the literature on the history of administration.
