Course content
In individual seminars will be studied 6 texts from recommended literature. (the students will be given a reader with a commentary). There will be focused special vocabulary, common grammar patterns. Each text will be dealt with for 4 lessons.

Learning outcomes
The English language program for Magister degree studies is focused on acquisition of language for academic purposes. It is supposed reaching B2 level according to the Common European Language Framework. The course is focused on text reading with following text analysis connected with a discussion in given language. During the course is extended vocabulary concerning political philosophy. A part of the course is a translation of special texts together with grammar consolidation, needed for reading in the given language.
Ability to read special texts in the field of their specialisation, ability to communicate in basic professional situations and ability to present and write in the given specialisation.
Prerequisites
It is supposed entry level B according to Common European Language Framework. The course is not designed for beginners.

Assessment methods and criteria

Regular seminar attendance, systematic preparation, active cooperation, homework, a short presentation on a given topic. Written part of the exam focused on understanding, oral part on ability to express yourself on B2 level.
