Learning outcomes
"Ukrainian language for begginers" is a subject which involves providing the introduction of communication needs of the students in everyday, educational, vocational, social, cultural and scientific spheres and creating the communicative competence which will ensure the formation of the future professional personality with speaking skills. The main task of the subject is educational, enriching and upbringing influence on the students, helping to form a personality who is ready to active communication in various spheres of the social life and in educational and professional spheres in particular.
The course provides the students with getting the basic speaking skills and practice in various kinds of communicative activity, the formation and improvement of skills and comprehension in all kinds of communicative activity (reading, writing, listening and speaking) involving essential educational, scientific, social, cultural and professional spheres of communication, the formation of the knowledge system about the language, the enlarging of the student?s vocabulary, the development of the oral and written, monologue and dialogue professional communication.

Assessment methods and criteria

Students are required to do the tasks for the lesson they are given. 1. Active participation in lessons. 2. Written end-term test covering the full material (theory and practical skills) 3. 70% participation In order to pass, students need to reach 70% on average on the test. The test can be retaken once if neccessary.
