1. Romanesque style. 2. Gothic style. 3. Baroque style. 4. Renaissance. 5. Nobility, nobility titles. 6. Townspeople, Medieval and Early age towns. 7. Religion, the church, reformation. 8. Middle Ages. 9. Modern Times. 10. Modern Era. 11. World war I. and II. 12. Archival science. 13. Auxiliary Sciences of History. The texts will be chosen according to students´ interests. The goal is to increase vocabulary connected to particular topics and develop ability to work with texts.

The aim of the subject is to gain ability to understand texts of students of History, Cultural- Historical Regionalistics and Auxiliary Sciences of History. The learning is based on short thematic texts. There are focused vocabulary understanding and collocations typical for historical texts. Simultaneously is explained grammar according to particular morphological phenomena. All the teaching is organised in German language and focuses English for historians. Home preparation is necessary, especially short translations from German language or presentations in special language.
Ability to read historical texts in German language and understanding of their content. Ability to talk on basic historical topics. Ability to create a simple presentation on a topic related to studies. (eg. bachelor or magister thesis). |

There is expected at least A2 level according to Common European Language Framework for German. Necessary at least passive knowledge of past tense and passive voice and related syntax patterns. The course is not designed for beginners.
