The aim of the course is to provide an insight into the didactic principles of teaching German as a foreign language and then to apply the selected topics practically in pedagogical practice. In the course, learners develop competences related to the subject taught (area 1), to lesson planning (area 2), to the learning environment (area 3) and to feedback and assessment (area 4) - see above for the specific competences developed in the course of the Competence Framework for Graduate Teachers.
Students will gain an overview of current topics in German language didactics, they will also acquire the skills of how to practically apply selected topics in pedagogical practice based on the analysis of video demonstrations, examples from teaching practice and their own microteaching.
